The Horse Identity program (horseidentity.org) offers two mobile applications namely HORSE-ID and Horse Medic used by horse owners/caregivers and horses veterinarians respectively.
After activating the Horse Medic app and having access granted to a horse dossier, veterinarians are able to view the dossier and maintain the medical details, vaccinations and consults history.
A horse dossier is identified using an Identification code generated by Horse Identity portal and is assigned to each horse profile using HORSE-ID app. Filling the Identification code or scanning its qr-code allows an authorised Horse Medic app to retrieve the horse dossier.
Granting access to Horse Medic is done by the horse owner / care giver using the HORSE-ID app after signing in to the account profile.
