Welcome to a new app offering an interactive, comprehensive course presenting the fundamentals of classical music theory. This app is built specifically for students of the AP Music Theory exam, covering all required definitions and concepts. We're excited to help you learn and study for the exam.

Matching the AP Music Theory syllabus, lessons include:
- Pitch and Rhythm
- Scales, Meters, and Modes
- Intervals, Triads, and Seventh Chords
- Harmonic Progressions and Cadences
- Four-Part Chorale Writing and Two-Part Counterpoint
- Embelleshing Notes, Tonicization, and Melodic Techniques

The app includes over 90 different exercise types, including aural recognition, melodic/harmonic dictation, and single, two-voice, and four-part composition. (Note to students: We don't offer sight-singing yet. But if enough people want it we can add it!)

About the Author: I am an indie app developer (and violinist) who took the AP Music Exam as a junior back in 2007. Back then, I studied music theory and ear training at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Now, I build apps focused on the arts and education.
