MapCERN

The MapCern iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad application is part of an initiative of the CERN/GS Department to offer the possibility for the staff, fellows, contractors and visitors at CERN to locate CERN facilities with a smartphone.

This Application helps the user to find the location of a building, a street, a point of interest (for exemple, the reception) and gives him the general direction from his position. It also includes the Augmented Reality view facility to identify buildings in front of the user.

Functionalities:

•Sorting of the search results by name (A-Z), type of data (Group) or distance
•Display of the choosen data (layer and basemap) on the map
•Informations on data (legend or tooltip)
