Triage was born from walking around New York trying to do a meaningful amount of email while stuck at a light or behind a knot of tourists. You don't want to have to select a mail and open it up to read it. You just want to get the gist immediately. You want to be able to delete a mail with one swipe. Or save it for later, with one swipe. For some mails you need to respond with a few words straight away. That should take no more that two taps. Or forward it in two taps. You want the option of big easy-to-hit keys. You come up with an idea or remember something you need to do and want to send a note to yourself right now. Two taps. That's Triage in a nutshell.

Triage has plenty of other useful features too, though you may not always need them on your walks. File mails with a swipe and a tap. Search for mail by keywords, sender, date and other characteristics. Save those searches to make new mailboxes. Identify mailboxes and accounts by colors you chose. Triage all your accounts together.
